🌟 ROTARIAN SPOTLIGHT: THERESA WENKER 🌟

This week, we’re highlighting Theresa Wenker, Exchange Manager at Bevcomm and a Rotarian for 10 years!

Theresa has called the New Prague community home for 27 years and has spent 26 of those years working at Bevcomm. She says one of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping customers with their needs, and that same desire to help others carries over into her involvement with Rotary. She enjoys giving back to the community and supporting people in need.

After a decade in Rotary, Theresa says her favorite event is the Dožínky Car Cruise. 🚗

Fun Fact: she’s a state champion bowler! 🎳 Theresa won the Men’s 2012 Minnesota State Open Championship Division 2 Singles Bowling Tournament. How’s that for a fun fact?!

Thanks, Theresa, for being part of Rotary and for continuing to give back to the community you’ve called home for nearly three decades!

Today, Dan Jacobson led our membership meeting, and we were excited to officially welcome two new Rotarians, Adam Hartmann and Courtney Braith, both from First Bank and Trust! 🎉

We enjoyed a great meal, a little friendly competition, and plenty of fun and networking with fellow community leaders. It’s always a good reminder that Rotary is about more than meetings, it’s about building connections and making a difference.

The spotlight is on Rotarian 🌟Andrew Vollmuth 🌟

This week, we're shining the spotlight on Andrew Vollmuth, Superintendent of New Prague Area Schools and a Rotarian for the past four years!

Andrew is proud to lead our local school district as it builds on its strong traditions while creating a promising future for students and families. Rotary gives him another way to serve the greater community beyond his role with the schools, while building relationships with civic-minded leaders from throughout the area.

His favorite part of Rotary is our weekly meetings and the opportunity they provide to connect, learn, and engage with fellow members.

🎓 Fun fact: Andrew graduated high school with just 21 students in his class!

The spotlight is on Rotarian, 🌟 Adam Hartmann 🌟

Meet Adam Hartmann, one of the newest members of the New Prague Rotary Club!

Adam believes strong communities are built through service, relationships, and a commitment to helping one another. As Community Bank President at First Bank & Trust, he has the opportunity to work with local businesses and families throughout the area, and Rotary gives him another way to be involved and contribute to the community he calls home.

Though he’s only been a Rotarian for a few months, Adam has enjoyed gathering each week, connecting with fellow members, and learning more about the many organizations and activities making a difference in our community.

Fun fact: Adam grew up on a family dairy farm outside of town and still stays involved in crop farming today! 🚜

We’re grateful to have Adam’s community-minded perspective and willingness to serve as part of New Prague Rotary! 💙💛

Today, New Prague Rotary had the pleasure of serving lunch to New Prague Area Schools staff as we officially welcomed them to the 2026–2027 school year!

We’re grateful for the teachers, staff, and administrators who show up each day for our students and our community. And a special thank you to the NPAS Nutrition Services team for preparing a wonderful lunch and helping make today possible!

We were happy to welcome several of the new teachers and staff joining New Prague Area Schools this year for lunch and conversation. It was great getting to know some of the newest faces in our district, hearing what they’ll be teaching, and giving them a warm welcome to the New Prague community.

82 pounds of fresh produce was delivered to the Peace Center Food Shelf yesterday, courtesy of our Rotary Peace Garden team! 🌱💙

🍻 What a brew-tiful first year! 🍻

Our very first Brew Prague was a fun success, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the turnout! The New Prague Rotary Club and Giesenbräu Bier Co. were thrilled to partner together to bring 12 local breweries to New Prague for a fun evening filled with great beer, great people, and so much community. Thank you for joining us!

A huge hats off to Rotarian @Dan Jacobson for spearheading Brew Prague and helping bring this event to life! 👏

Thank you to all of the Rotarians who volunteered their time, the 12 breweries who joined us, and Giesenbräu Bier Co. for being such a wonderful partner. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make our first Brew Prague a success!

And best of all, proceeds from the event will benefit our local Peace Center Food Shelf giving back to our community. ❤️

We’re already looking forward to raising a glass to Brew Prague 2027! 🍺
